Itera Consulting is looking for highly experienced and motivated Service Operations Engineer for the big distributed project for Scandinavian customer to be responsible for maintenance, support and problem resolving within complex project environment under continuous deployment. This is complex project and the qualified candidate will need to be a fast learner that can quickly grasp technical aspects of the specified industry.

Operations Specialist will be part of distributed project with people both in Ukraine and in other countries. Business trips to Norway (Oslo) will take place.

Client is a large company which underwrites Nordic corporations globally by means of a highly professional service organization. It provides a broad range of insurance products such as Property Insurance, Casualty Insurance, Marine Insurance etc.

Tasks and responsibilities:
• Provide continuous monitoring of the client environments
• Perform analysis of error log, nightly batch jobs log
• Focus on urgent issues follow-up (fix or request fixes from service provider)
• Assisting Client personnel in configuration and troubleshooting of Production environment
• Problem resolution and workarounds
• First engineer will focus on queues and batches follow-up
• Second engineer will focus on deployment follow-up

Professional requirements:
• At least 2 year experience within service operations/programming
• Strong knowledge and experience with MS SQL
• Knowledge of Windows scripts and administration
• Broad technical expertise and basic technical understanding
• Good knowledge of common packages – logs & monitoring, web-servers, load balancers etc.
• Offshoring projects experience
• Experience of work in distributed environment
• Experience of direct communication with client

Will be a plus:
• C# knowledge and practical experience
• Experience of work with TeamCity continuous integration
• Experience in configuration and maintenance enterprise IT systems
• Experience with Shell scripting
• Knowledge of network utilities
