We are seeking a self-motivated software engineer proficient in .NET, familiar with Java and good communication skills to develop tools and provide guidance to various development teams on how to design manageable applications. The ideal candidate for this position is someone with strong experience in developing enterprise applications, broad technical background, able to work in highly dynamic environment and comfortable with constantly learning new skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with developing frameworks which simplify the software developers’ effort of emitting trace, error and recovery events.
  • Review existing code and provide recommendations on how to add effective instrumentation and monitoring code.
  • Write scripts and configurations to enable enterprise management systems monitor the instrumented applications.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of .NET technologies with focus on web services and web applications development.
  • Familiar with enterprise technologies: enterprise libraries, service buses, business process management systems, complex event processing systems, management systems.
  • Good understanding of enterprise architecture patterns and requirements with focus on the system availability, manageability and traceability.
  • Familiar with Java and willing to become proficient in Java.

Desired Skills:

  • Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007/2012: experience in developing management packs is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Service Availability practices: ITIL, Design for Operations, coded and codeless instrumentation
