Position Summary:

As a Wireless Protocol Technical Support Engineer based in our office in Nizhny Novgorod you will have responsibility for automating tests and test systems for wireless protocols implementations, simulation and measurements in mobile devices and network equipment.

Assignments focus on latest features of LTE and also UMTS, GSM and TD-SCDMA technologies.  You will work closely with Network Simulation equipment to automate wireless device verification.   Must be able to apply knowledge of wireless and network protocols and test methodology to automate test cases that support industry and/or operator test requirements & specifications.

You might be required to travel to customer site in UK and US to undertake an assignment at our customer office and support local operators.

Required Skills and qualification:

• University degree in Computer Science, Networking, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience working with 3GPP/3GPP2 standards & documentation, LTE/UTRAN/GERAN & cdma2000 air interface and signaling (cdma2000, EVDO, GSM, WCDMA, HSDPA, HSUPA, HSPA Evolution, LTE, VoIP, etc), wireless communications test equipment, and network protocols (TCP/IP, SIP).
• Experience working with the C/C++ , Java and/or other computer languages are recommended.
• Experience working with Network Simulation equipment such as Agilent, R&S, Racal and Anritsu is a plus.
• TTCN2/TTCN3, and automated test execution environments is a plus.
