MS SQL/ANALYSIS SERVICES DEVELOPER

Background

A global manufacturing company is searching for an analyst programmer with proven experience in application development for their Application Development Centre in Kiev.

The company is seeking for a back-end/front-end software developer to support the business growth from IT perspective.

Main engagement area for the candidate will be development, support and enhancement of existing applications for Sales and Marketing process support.

The role will be actively contributing to the company value generation by partnering with business to implement operational excellence by means of robust and cost/effective system solutions.

Main purpose of job

·         Key responsibility is to participate in design and develop software solutions primarily for the EMEA Region however target scope for delivery maybe broader depending on the company initiatives.

·         This includes writing specifications required for the applications development and using programming computer languages and development tools to design, build, test, implement, and support applications.

Job responsibilities

·         Participate in application development projects as a Developer/Tech analyst

·         Technically support existing Application Development Centre (ADC) portfolio

·         Make sure that application products are delivered in timely manner and ADC quality standards achieved

·         Document developed solution according to accepted ADC documents standards

·         Ensure the maintenance of technical documentation

·         Apply application development methodologies and change control processes

• Perform unit and integration testing
• Participate in technical auditing of application solutions

·         Apply expertise to achieve continuous system improvement and implement industry best practice

• Effectively collaborate with other software professionals such as system analysts and engineers.
• Provide support to the Quality Assurance throughout development lifecycle
• Troubleshoot and debug application issues
• Participate in code inspections and test plan reviews where appropriate

Requirements:

Key competencies:

• Structured approach in resolving performance issues (tracking/troubleshooting)
• Good communication skills
• Good analytical skills, ability to perform thorough root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with any source control systems.  Exposure to MS Team Foundation server

Technical skills:

The Application Development Centre deploys the following technologies:

• MS SQL 2005 -MS SQL 2008 and Analysis Services;
• ASP.NET 2-3.5.
• .NET 3.5

Ideal candidate would already possess similar experience working for an international company employing MS SQL/Analysis server/ASP.NET/.NET skills for at least 2 years.

Language:

·         English language is a fundamental requirement to collaborate effectively with the European and Global team. Advanced level is recommended to be effective in written and verbal communications.
