       The Captiva group develops software for capturing information stored on paper and/or any electronic resources. This includes processing such paper-based documents as invoices, insurance contracts, structured forms and other unstructured documents.
Captiva develops a wide range of tools and technologies that enable capture of information. The bulk of Captiva efforts are dedicated to developing image-capturing solutions, such as Captiva InputAccel, Dispatcher and other products. These are industrial-strength client-server applications, serving the capturing needs of big corporate clients – banks, insurance companies, government organizations, etc.
The St. Petersburg development group is actively engaged in all of the products mentioned above; some of the products are developed entirely in SPb; others are developed in cooperation with US-based teams.
We provide also sustaining engineering services.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides technical expertise in SW development and product knowledge;
  • Analysis and monitoring of all activities related to maintenance
  • Works in close collaboration with product management, support, development and QA teams.
  • Provides estimates and reports of progress for all development activities;
  • Analyzes current needs and works with Configuration Management/Installers team for infrastructure issues (build machines, test environments, etc).


Requirements:

  • Higher education in Computer science, SW engineering or related
  • At least 5 year experience working in a big SW development company
  • Windows, С#/.Net (WPF, WCF, WinForms), Web development (ASP.Net, SilverLight, HTML, Jscript)
  • Experience in working in a multicultural, distributed SW Engineering team
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Russian
  • Knowledge of enterprise applications is a plus
  • Technologies: Windows, С#/.Net (WPF, WCF, WinForms), Web development (ASP.Net, SilverLight,HTML, Jscript)
