RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The main responsibility of the candidate will be implementation and support of local Russian software packages Diasoft 5NT and Master Finance/Balance. Primary job focus will be development of optimal solutions for the Moscow Finance Department to produce regulatory and financial reporting. Further integration of the local package with the global Company systems will be also a key function of the role.
• The candidate will participate in projects directed to adjust Company global systems to meet Russian regulations and support workflow in Moscow. As a member of international team, candidate will perform wide range of activities from analysis and software development to testing and implementation.
• The candidate will have extensive interaction with users in Moscow Finance (Controllers), Operations and Compliance departments, other Company IT areas (Technical Infrastructure, Front Office Technology, Treasury, etc.) as well as external vendors and Russian regulators.
• The candidate will report to the Moscow IT manager locally and to the Regulatory/Financial department manager in London. While working on projects, he or she will have the opportunity to learn key aspects of the firm’s trading business, and understand both accounting practice and regulatory reporting.

SKILL / EXPERIENCE:

Technical Skills:

• Under two years of software development experience in a commercial environment or equivalent working with financial applications in Russia.
  
  • Development experience – knowledge of Object oriented design, terminology & SQL (Sybase, MS SQL), desire to extend professional skills in software development area. Java / C# is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Unix/Solaris/Linux platforms including shell and Perl scripting.
  • Prior experience working with Diasoft systems is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of common software design/engineering techniques and best practices for long term performance, usability, extensibility, security and functionality.
• Knowledge of Russian accounting, statutory and tax reporting.
• Strong Business Analysis skills are essential – proven ability to work with business users.
