The NetCracker Release Engineering Team provides Software Configuration Management and Release Management in terms of processes, infrastructure, tools and operations.

We have an opening for an experienced Software Engineer to join our Release Engineering team. The successful candidate will report to the Release Engineering Manager, and will be responsible for Configuration Management and Release Management of various projects. This position will interface closely with Software Development, Quality Assurance, Project Management and Customer Support to maintain and enhance our existing development processes.

Required experience in Software:

• At least 1 year experience in the software industry in roles such as Software Release Engineer, Application Support Analyst or Software Developer
• Configuration experience with or common knowledge of IBM/Rational ClearCase
• Configuration experience with or good knowledge of Subversion (SVN)
• Configuration and/or development experience with or good knowledge of IVY
• Development experience with or good knowledge of ANT
• Development experience with or common knowledge of JAVA, XML and SQL

Languages:

• Russian (spoken and written)
• English (spoken and written)

Responsibilities:

• Plan and support streams configuration and build system for a Project in IBM Rational ClearCase, according to the defined Configuration Management Strategy;
• Schedule, integrate, build and deliver patches (JAVA/J2EE applications, SQL scripts) to internal QA group and to a Customer (using IBM ClearCase, ANT, and set of internal tools and methodologies);
• Support accompanying documentation for a patch;
• Ensure that the defined Configuration Management Strategy is followed during the projects' lifecycle;
• Participate in internal tools development for continuous automation of all tasks above.

Travel policy:

• Business trips on-site (Canada, USA, Europe) are supposed as well as work with a Project from off-site (Russia).
