HP Labs Russia is seeking a highly motivated senior or post graduate students specializing in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, who are seaking an internship roles and have the ability to work as  as part of a multidisciplinary and multinational research team.

The intern in this position will work on applied research projects in the area of information extraction from unstructured data (text analytics, image processing, machine learning) under scientific and technical supervision of senior researchers. Interns will be engaged in development of new algorithms, experimental setups, publishing and presenting the results at top-tier conferences and journals, collaborations with business units. Interns will work on the assignments that are highly complex in nature and require strong degree of independent judgment and innovation, strong technical knowledge, ability to explore and be initiative

Education and experience required:

• Senior undergraduate students in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering or related technical field. A Bachelor's or Master's degree is preferred.

Type of experience needed:

• Strong mathematical background
• Object-oriented programming (Java/C#/C++)
• English language skills (reading of technical literature, oral understanding of speech, writing technical texts)
• Knowledge of machine learning, NLP, text mining, image or audio processing algorithms will be a plus.
