Position Summary:

The position is opened against the various open SW Test Engineers positions in STC office in Nizhny Novgorod. The main role for an employee on such positions is verification of correct operation of different kind of SW with main focus to different mobile devices including but not limited by Cell Phones. Verification scope includes testing on system, module, integration and feature levels. Test automation is possible.

We are looking for initiative individuals ready for intensive work in one of the most rapidly development tech area.

Key responsibilities:

Test Engineer:

-       Test Scenarios execution (manually and automated)

-       Found defects reporting and tracking through the SW lifecycle

-       Taking logs and dumps

-       Configuration and maintenance of a testing infrastructure (HW&SW)

-       Test development

-        Following to a process workflow supporting the necessary documentation

Sr. Test Engineer (in addition to above):

-       Target platform and requirements analysis

-       Test process and strategy development and evaluation increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of testing

-       Efforts estimation

-       Leadership in a group of testers

Required Skills and qualification:

Test Engineer:

-       University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent preferred however other disciplines will be considered with additional relevant work experience

-       Experience working in a Microsoft Windows and Office environment with initial setup and configuration

-       Strong technical background: Potential ability to work with different types of supporting HW such as oscilloscopes, frequency generators, power supplies, routers and so on

-       Ability to run a lot of manual test cases without losing accuracy

-       English: Ability to work with technical documentation and communicate by Emails

-       Analytical mind and problem determination ability

-       Ability to survive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

-       Team player

Sr. Test Engineer (in addition to above):

-       Minimum 3 years of applicable industry experience

-       Strong communication, coordination, organization and reporting skills

-       Ability to dissect product changes and target testing appropriately

-       Proven and trusted ability to communicate directly with customer as well as driving issues internally to resolution

Valuable Assets:

-       Programming and scripting languages and tools for automation:

-              Tools: Android SDK, Eclipse, GIT/Gerrit, VNC, Robotium is plus

-              languages: Jython, Python, Java (Junit is plus)

-       Verbal English

-       Comprehension of wireless technologies and protocols

-       Ability to work with network simulators (e.g. Anritsu, Racal, Agilent)

-       Experience with tools for: Test Management, Defects Tracking, Version Control

-       Android geek

-       Experience working in a Linux environment with initial setup and configuration

-       Broad knowledge of the open source and proprietary test systems, including their strengths and weaknesses

-       Advanced mobile phone user: setup all range of functionalities, flashing

-       Ability for independent working without strict guiding

-        Travel ability
