SOFTWARE DEVELOPER “DIGITAL MANUFACTURING”: SAP LAB CIS

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP Global Research is the global technology research unit of SAP with a network of 15 research centers on 5 continents comprised of multiple program areas in Advanced Development and Applied Research. The group significantly contributes to SAP’s product portfolio by identifying and shaping emerging IT trends and generating breakthrough technologies through applied research, advanced development and various commercialization vehicles like the Global Business Incubator, Imagineering and the Co-Innovation Lab.

Reporting to the head of the program “Digital Manufacturing” (Jochen Rode) you will work within a growing team of software developers and business experts to develop software prototypes and customer pilots to leverage advances in digital manufacturing, including 3D CAD/PLM integration/visualization/collaboration technologies and additive manufacturing (3D printing).    

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As software developer in the Digital Manufacturing program, these are the themes that you and your team colleagues will focus on in the domain of manufacturing and asset management:

• Applications of 2D/3D visualization
• Process integration and optimization
• Mass-customization of products

As a software developer, you are expected to:

• Develop architectures, software prototypes and pilots based on customer requirements
• Collaborate within your team and beyond including with international SAP colleagues, partners and customers

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES / WORK EXPERIENCE

• Passion for software development
• 3+ years working experience in professional software development
• Expert knowledge of object-oriented programming in Java, Microsoft .NET, and/or ABAP
• Positive mindset, team player, transparent, reliable, open to changes
• Excellent oral and written Russian language skills
• Good oral and written English language skills
• Ideally, expertise in one or more of these areas: manufacturing, PLM, EAM, 3D CAD, logistics
• Ideally, knowledge of SAP products (especially SAP PLM, SAP Visual Enterprise)
