You have a love-hate relationship with PHP because you can recite its pitfalls in your sleep. You know the LAMP stack backwards and sideways. You love to code, and have gone through at least the tutorial – if not more – with every programming language in existence (well almost..). You understand well the software architecture of a modern day web application and can start a holy war at the slightest mention of REST SOAP. But above all you are always looking to write the perfect code.

Responsibilities

●     Writing high-quality PHP code in-line with a detailed tech spec but through a collaborative & dynamic Agile process.

●     Producing rich documentation and high test coverage for written code.

●     Providing time forecasts for development work.

●     Engaging with the rest of the development team, putting ideas forward and providing feedback for others.

  Your skills and experience

●    Must haves

●    PHP

●    MySQL

●    Linux

●    Apache / HTTP

●    (X)HTML / CSS / JavaScript

●    OOP / Design Patterns (MVC, DI)

●    PHP 5.4

●    Doctrine 2

●    JQuery

●    SVN

Would be a plus:

●    Basic knowledge of Java

●    Symfony 2

●    Domain Driven Design

●    Jira, Confluence
