Java TCK (Technology Compatibility Kit) Tools team is looking for a passionate, responsible and highly motivated Senior Software Development Engineer. The candidate will join an international team in charge of design, development, support and delivery a set of products used for efficient producing of Java compatibility test suites. These products include a test harness, tools for measurement of code and assertion coverage, build and infrastructure tools, assertion markup tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• In this role the candidate will be responsible for development and maintaining TCK Tools, resolving cross-platform issues as well as other issues reported by customers. Also the candidate will work on improving the overall quality and stability of tools and instruments for Java Compatibility test suites used by various teams in JavaSE, JavaME and JavaEE.
• The position implies communication with internal customers, answering technical questions, investigating problems and suggesting decisions.
• And finally, you will need to adhere software development processes and best practices established in the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•  Strong technical background
•  MS in a technical discipline
•  5+ years of experience in JavaSE programming
•  Deep knowledge of Java language and JavaSE API
•  Experience in Unix environment
•  Extensive troubleshooting experience
•  Good English communication skills
•  Good teamwork skills 
• Experience in build and integration systems such as ant, mavin, hudson
• Scripting languages such as perl, ruby and shell experience 
• Experience in developing complex commercial and open-sourced products 
• Experience in working with distributed teams
