Project Description:
  • Rates Prime Brokerage and Clearing is a initiative in One of the Top Investment Banks offering a complete coverage of Prime Brokerage, trades clearing and reporting services to all participants of business flow (Clients, Front and Middle office )
  • The project is built on base of the latest technologies and solutions (for example grid computing, in-memory cache, business intelligence, etc) mixed with traditional ones (Java core, AJAX, JMS, BI, Distributed Cache)
Responsibilities:
  • Participate in development of data store, risk margin and client reporting applications as a Oracle developer.
  • Work with large systems that comprise of several applications. Understand and learn how prime brokerage applications interact with other applications in the bank or outside the bank
  • We will be working with a data-warehouse, ETL, Business Intelligence, GUI and other core backend applications
  • Make technology recommendations.
 
Skills Required:
  • Read and map complex DDL (views, tables, etc) 
  • Read, write and test complex DML (insert, update, delete) 
  • Read, write and test SQL*Plus scripts 
  • Read, write and test packages, procedures, functions and triggers 
  • Read, write and test tables with constraints that are indexed and partitioning. 
  • Perform deployment and versioning of Oracle packages and objects 
  • Capable of working with and writing nested queries and subqueries 
  • Capable of tuning high performance queries 
  • Experience of working on large volume of data. 
  • Moderate knowledge of data modeling. 
  • Excellent analytical ability and judgment 
  • Solid understanding of XML 
  • Basic understanding of Java plus 
  • Basic communication skills with New York peers.
