Currently we are looking for Java back end developer to join Augaroo team.
The Client’s company is young and innovative, based in Washington, D.C. that creates web and mobile applications in the white-hot social, big data, and real-time data visualization market. The company builds applications that provide cutting-edge social and real-time data experiences on mobile devices, including games, personalized location-based offers, social networking, and the latest technology in data visualization. Project description: The company is developing the next generation of real-time data visualization technology for Big Data, allowing its users to analyze and make decisions based on the latest information streaming to their iPad/tablet in realtime. On iPad they would be able to zoom in/out, scroll and navigate thru their data in a highly interactive way. The technology is designed to work against multiple different platforms, including some of the most popular amongst the social (twitter, Facebook, etc.) and big data applications (MongoDB, Storm, NOSQL, etc.). The company is growing quickly as will the offshore team, which will provide for quick opportunities for career advancement and leadership. The team currently consists of 6 developers and will grow up to 10-12 throughout 2012 - 2013
Responsibilities:
- Build server-side back-end java systems that store/retrieve data in NOSQL.
- Implement server-side algorithms for processing, aggregating, and analyzing data using Twitter Storm
- Design and optimize flexible data models to be used with java systems.
Required skills:
- Experience designing and building java systems that manage large amounts of information
- Experience implementing server side data integration connectors that interact with diverse APIs and java libraries, retrieve large amounts of data, and join these data with existing application records
- Good written and spoken English
- Desire and ability to learn new technology quickly and work hard.
Desirable skills:
- Experience working with NOSQL.
- Performance optimization for high volumes
- Experience with Lucene framework
- Experience with web based reporting tools
