JavaScript developer for Avid Platform Services

Avid Platform Services is a project to build platform to host a number of SaaS applications targeted to both existing and new Avid customers. Platform will also provide support for advanced integration scenarios to consolidate various systems into one ecosystem.

It is a multi-level, cloud-enabled computing system extreme loose coupled, shared-nothing, horizontally scalable to provide rapid elasticity, resource pooling, broad network access and multi-tenancy.

Technology stack is very broad including NodeJs, Java, C++, and .NET backend, HTML5/JavaScript UI. We are using Scrum.

Ideal candidates are result oriented, technology agnostic, willing and able to quickly learn and use new technologies, languages and tools.

Required Skills

·         Strong OO-design and -programming skills and experience writing software using Test-Driven Development principals.

·         2 years or more expertise in programming with JavaScript, HTML required

·         Solid knowledge of relational databases and SQL

·         Server-side experience developing services, e.g. with Tomcat, Karaf, Jetty, PHP, Ruby on Rails, Node.JS, mod_perl

·         Fluency in English (both spoken and written) and the ability to communicate efficiently in English via both phone and e-mail is a must.

·         Experience with C/C++ is a plus

Desired Skills

·         Experience with OSGi is a plus

·         UI design (HTML, jQuery)
