Job Profile:

System Analyst in the RingCentral, designs solutions for the betterment of productivity and efficiency of the Production IT environment. System Analyst does research on any reported problem from NOC and System engineers, plans and proposes solutions, advocates software and systems of Production system and coordinates the problem solving process and ensures that the business standards and requirements are met. System

 Analyst should be familiar with multiple approaches to solve a problem and will choose the most appropriate one out of them. System Analyst has to be quite familiar with a host of computer programming languages, operating systems, and computer hardware platforms as he often translates client's requests into technical specifications.



Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the administration and maintenance of RingCentral’s Production Server Environment, plus internal network environments to ensure effective and efficient performance.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
  • Work with the Systems Operations team and Deployment team to monitor application/network performance, trouble-shoot problems that lead to efficiency improvements.
  • Work with the application development team to design and trouble-shoot solutions.
  • To be primarily responsible for the configuration, operation, maintenance and documentation of RingCentral’s computer systems and Network infrastructure. This includes, but is not limited to the following: Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Active Directory, Linux, Domain Name Service, DHCP, Mail Server, Firewall/VPN, Security and Group Policy, Windows/Linux Updates, Software Development testing/staging environment, Backup and Restore, Wired & Wired Network Switches and routers, SVN.
  • Actively research, review, evaluate and test new computer systems, networking and software products, services and technologies as required by RingCentral’s business needs.
  • Professionally review and respond to emails and phone calls regarding technical support issues raised by RingCentral’s clients and Operations staff.
  • Handle escalated technical support calls when required and respond to any after-hours technical support paging service that RingCentral may have in effect at any given time.
  • Learn and understand RingCentral’s production server farm operations and be available to backup resource for the server environment on an on-call basis, as reasonable required by RingCentral.
  • Actively participate in initiatives to comply with Operations policies mandated by RingCentral.
  • Mentor and train associate technical personnel on RingCentral supported software devices and services.
  • Produce quality and written user and technical documentation on all aspects of DMT’s network and PRO systems infrastructure and processes.
  • Use due diligence and careful planning to minimize errors in the configuration, operation and maintenance of all RingCentral PRO systems.



Qualification:

  • 7+ years of experience in a System Operations and Network Administrator role.
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in computer science or equivalent technology field.
  • Must have hands-on expertise with virtualized server environment management, including planning, design, and implementation within an intermediate to large-scale network.
  • Experience trouble-shooting application software issues such as memory utilization, CPU utilization, web logs, etc.
  • Experience and good working knowledge with mass storage platforms, virtualized server environments.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-oriented skills.
  • Able to work well in a fast-paced, growth environment.
  • OS: Linux/Unix. Sr. Administrator level.
  • OS: MS Windows Server. Active Directory. Sr. Administrator level.
  • Experience in writing scripts: Perl, Visual Basic, cmd, shell.
  • Remote administration of servers, network devices.
  • Understanding of network protocols, VPN, SIP, UTP.
  • Experience in team work .
  • Experience in supporting systems 24х7.
  • English: intermediate level.
