Senior QA/TA Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Project documentation analysis;
• Project documentation development;
• Participation in Test Strategy, Test Plan preparation;
• Test Data validation;
• Participation in meetings concerning QA work coordination and other project issues;
• Planning, organizing, monitoring and conducting product testing and accompanying documentation;
• Automated testing strategy development;
• Organization of work on automated scripts development for the project
• Automated testing scripts design, service initiation and maintenance;
• Running the Bug/Change Management process;
• Reviewing and classifying/prioritizing the defects detected by QA Engineer during testing;
• Discussing and resolving all discrepancies or problems encountered during testing, bug fixing;
• Discussing and resolving all discrepancies or problems of test environment occurred during its setting and testing with Configuration Manager;
• Preparing materials for Test Summary Report;
• Independent interaction with other departments concerning all quality issues;
• Participation in customer interaction on QA issues;
• Coaching, training and consulting the newcomers.

Requirements:

• Education: Higher Technical education
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of work experience as an SQA engineer

Skills:

• Expertise in QA software technology and methods, experience in their use;
• Experience in object-based programming;
• Competence in Java Standard Edition;
• Program code debugging and maintaining skills;
• Competence in SQL (Oracle SQL and/or PL/SQL will be an extra edge);
• Competence in Visual Basic Script is an extra edge;
• Competence in the XML (XSLT, XPath, XSD) technology;
• Competence in J2EE platform (JSP, Servlets, EJB 2.0), design patterns will be an extra edge;
• Competence in specific software for testing automation (HP/MercuryQuick Test Pro, Selenium, SoapUI, JMeter etc);
• Work experience in JavaScript;
• Competence in the HTML DOM standard;
• Experience in auto-testing technology implementation;
• Competence in specific software (Bug Management systems, Test Tools) at the administration level, competence in version control systems (SVN, Clear Case), assembly systems, and Configuration Management tools;
• Knowledge of quality standards;
• Customer communication skills (on the SQA issues);
• Initiative;
