Project Scope:

• Software components design for future Motorola radios based on open source SW.

Scope of Responsibilities:

• Design, development, integration of new features for Linux platform.
• Participate in the product level requirements development and review.
• Perform engineering support for product field issues.

Required Skills:

• Excellent C or C++ programming, debugging and design skills;
• High education in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related areas;
• Experience in application and services development for Linux platform (>= 2 years);
• Good understanding of embedded Linux;
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP stack and Linux IP routing sub system;
• Good teamwork and communication skills;
• Ability to learn fast;
• Ability to analyze complex systems and system problems;
• Conversational, written and technical English.

Pluses:

• Experience in Linux device drivers development and kernel debugging;
• Experience in reverse engineering and modification of existing code;
• Experience in infrastructure projects;
• Wireless networking background and/or experience;
• UML modeling.
