Avid in partnership with GlobalLogic is looking for Senior C++ developer to be a part of development team working on driver’s development for leading audio, video and broadcast solution's development. Main responsibilities - development new products and improvement of existed ones.

Required skills:

• 5 +years of professional experience writing code in C++, real object-oriented development work, not C-style development compiled with a C++ compiler
• Understanding of object-oriented development specifically in C++ and C++ templates.
• understanding of reference counting and smart pointers
• Multi-threaded development practices. Must understand principles of inter-process communication.
• Understand the distinction between kernel mode and user mode and how the two domains communicate with one another.
• Be able to demonstrate their ability to write code with clear and explicit naming and organization that will be easily understood by other developers. I.e. code should be readable, not cryptic.
• Good Written and Spoken English.

Desired experience:

• Knowledge of other object oriented environments could be a plus - specifically C# and Cocoa.
• Real-time systems experience a plus.
• Experience with source control systems including the role they play in sharing and reuse of code is a plus
• Familiarity with using Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) software. Must understand concepts such as sample rate, clock sources, input gains, and clipping.
• Musical experience (e.g. playing an instrument) can be a plus.
