Frog is looking for Senior Web and Desktop Functional QA Engineer

Short project description: a large international Agile project aimed at implementing a unified communication solution consisting of software and hardware components, unique from point of view of design, architecture and usage scenarios.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Hands-on functional, integration, regression, data validation, cross-platform manual and automation testing (using Selenium web browser automation tool) of web and desktop (Web stack based) applications for functional deficiencies, usability issues, verification of design specifications and business requirements.
• Performing certain aspects of backend testing as well (e.g communication with SQLite).
• Creating and maintenance of Continuous Integration solutions using Jenkins and Atlassian Bamboo
• Reporting defects clearly in the JIRA defect tracking system.
• Design, maintenance and executing test scenarios stored in a distributed source control system.
• Coordinating and clear communicating assignments and results with the distributed team.
• Active participating in agile meetings with product management including customers and engineering.
• Accumulating test process knowledge and lessons learned in form of wiki pages

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years experience in fast-paced software projects with an excellent understanding of testing methodology in general and test automation in particular.
• Solid working knowledge of functional test automation tools (e.g. QTP, SilkTest, must-have knowledge of Selenium), preferably for the both Web and desktop applications.
• Practical experience of writing tests in Java for Selenium; preferably using TestNG framework
• Practical experience of implementing Continuous Integration solutions for test automation’s integration (e.g. Jenkins, Atlassian Bamboo CI tools) and Ant, Maven
• Preferable experience of using DVCS (Git, Mercurial)
• Preferable knowledge of C++ and unit testing (e.g. UnitTest++)
• Preferable knowledge of unit testing frameworks for JavaScript (e.g QUnit)
• Preferable knowledge of Ruby and test frameworks on its base
• Familiarity with software development life cycles.
• Experience with Windows and Mac OS environments.
• Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
