Technical Manager (Demo Support)
Overview:
Understanding customer demands and creating solutions that completely address them – is a great part of company success. When demonstrating to customer our products we can clarify customer needs and assure customer that NetCracker solutions fulfill all of the requirements in the best way.
Technical Manager is a key person responsible for overall demo preparation project and its results. Building a complicated solution covering wide OSS/BSS domain in fixed terms needs strong managing skills as well as technical ones. As a Technical Manager you will estimate and plan works, manage and encourage your team to work hard. And be ready to roll up your own sleeves.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for a demo preparation;
- Discuss and clarify requirements with sales team. Elaborate demo script with team key roles;
- Estimate efforts and resource demands, plan works;
- Manage team: share project goals, assign and clarify tasks, interact with other engineering teams across the company;
- Create and maintain working environment for geographically distributed team;
- Discuss and elaborate efficient solution architecture with team key roles;
- Manage technical and organizational risks. Identify risks and be creative and confident in minimizing them or eliminating their consequences;
- Manage and lead research activities. Analyze typical demo requirements and create generic demos. Learn new product features and introduce them to demo projects;
Qualifications:
Minimum
Education:
- Higher Degree;
Skills and experience:
- Strong management skills;
- Hands-on technical background;
- Self-reliant;
- Strong communication skills;
- Fluent spoken and written English.
Preferable
Education:
- Higher Technical Degree. Computer Science / Math / Engineering is preferable;
- PhD is a plus.
Skills and experience:
- Good knowledge of Telco business and OSS/BSS systems;
- Experience in designing solution architecture;
- Strong managing skills in software engineering. Hands-on experience in agile methodologies is a plus;
- Presenter’s skills;
- Knowledge of SQL, Java, Java EE and related technologies.
