EPAM Systems, a major service provider in the field of software development and integration solutions in the United States, Central and Eastern Europe and the CIS, is looking for a Support Engineer for Moscow Office.

Support integration module between Murex, in-house systems and Algorithmics (Risk System) on derivative/equity trading and risks valuation. Merge into support team for international investment bank trading desk IT.

DUTIES:

• Doing morning checks;
• Daily monitoring for system status;
• Resolve issues – communicate with abroad vendor (English), business users, in-house support teams;
• Develop tools for support tasks automation and issue reporting (windows batch, Perl, …).

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in business applications support, preferably in Investment Banking business;
• Basic understanding of investment banking business (equity, derivatives, market data, credit/market risk);
• Basic knowledge of MS SQL, ability to write simple SQL statements (select, group by, join);
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server/Unix(Linux) platforms;
• Clean and accurate scripts code.

PERSONAL QUALITIES:

• Spoken English (phone calls with abroad colleagues);

• Polite and calm.

IS A PLUS:

• Unix command line tools knowledge (grep, tail, cat, awk, etc);
• Bash knowledge;
• Another scripting language (python, javascript, ruby, etc.);
• XSL basic knowledge.
