Responsibilities:

• Setting up batch jobs for individual user areas in unix. Involves knowing real time risk applications, and manipulating data into reports/feeds to other users/systems 
• Implement functionality changes and bugs for batch jobs. 
• Analysis of problems and issues in the application to identify areas for improvement 
• Provide second line to global user community (primary base will be Europe and APAC users) 
• The successful candidate is expected to work under minimal supervision to design and implement the required functionality/bug fixes/enhancements within allotted timescales.

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science/ Engineering/ Science/ Maths preferred 
• Solid Perl programming background with 2-3 years of work experience. 
• Extensive experience in command line Unix/Linux environments 
• Experience in providing user support, and proven ability in dealing with user issues 
• SQL 
• XML manipulation/XSLT 
• Fluent written and spoken English 

• Java/Beanshell/Groovy 
• Experience developing data management solutions using Perl 
• Experience working with end users/client facing 
• Investment banking experience (or financial sector) is desirable
