If so, then this is your chance to be part of a growing EMEA team bringing Microsoft's cloud platform to market. The CEE Incubation Sales team is hiring a Solutions Specialist with a passion for customers and technology. The Windows Azure™ Platform is an internet-scale cloud services platform hosted in Microsoft data centers. It provides an operating system and a set of developer services that can be used individually or together. Windows Azure’s flexible and interoperable platform can be used to build new applications to run from the cloud or enhance existing applications with cloud-based capabilities. The Windows Azure open architecture gives developers the choice to build web applications, applications running on connected devices, PCs, servers, or hybrid solutions offering the best of online and on-premises.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide sales & pre-sales as well technical positioning for the Windows Azure field sales force to drive Lighthouse Wins and revenue attainment.
- Aid in architecting solutions in a complex sales environment.
- Remove sales & technical sales roadblocks.
- Present to Customers & Partners - from developers to CxO’s
- Identify key trends & drive necessary improvements in sales & product to capitalize on opportunities.
Requirements and Skills/Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, emerging trends and related technology including knowledge of competitors such as Amazon EC2 and VMWare.
- Knowledge of development methodologies - including ability to code solutions in managed & native code.
- Knowledge and experience in large scale, multi-tier, enterprise architectures, and Data Centers.
- Knowledge of security process, principals, governance, and standards( such as HIPAA and PCI).
- Able to articulate pros & cons of design/architecture decision across a wide spectrum of factors - e.g. latency, storage, startup/shutdown, etc.
- Able to coach and mentor a broad constituency – Field Sales, Pre-sales, Consultants, Partners, & Customers.
- Able to distill widely variant feedback into root cause issues and provide actionable feedback to other stakeholders.
- Strong ‘can do” attitude, innovative spirit, team player, high energetic level, entrepreneurial style.
Technical Abilities:
- Work with system Architects to understand and contribute to schemas of solutions on Azure IaaS & Paas 10 years experience and a good understanding of Hyper-V capabilities, SQL server, Sharepoint, system networking protocols and ability to design solutions that contains geo-distribute models, LINUX, and competitive solution (Amazon).
- Be able to contribute to architecture of cloud applications and identify gaps and solutions for existing applications to move to the cloud.
- Build both horizontal & vertical sales scenarios. Work with Application Sales & Partner executives to targeting best Azure potential.
- Create deployment plans with Services & Partners. Use available resources to accelerate sale cycle and remove selling blockers.
- Knowledge of sales operation rhythm and content requirements- opportunity management systems, forecasting experience, risk mitigation ability.
- Foreign languages: Fluent English & native Russian mandatory
- Travel availability: more than 50% of time
