Job Responsibilities: 

• Research and development in the field of applied optics and holography;
• Experimental research, measurements and prototyping;
• Work closely with the other research group members as a thought partner;
• Preparation of patent applications covering the device.

Qualifications:

• Master of Science (MS) Degree or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Degree in Optics, Electronics, Physics or Opto-Electronics Engineering;
• 5+ years experience in research and development in the field of applied optics and holography;
• Deep knowledge of design, alignment and testing of optical parts and systems, including laser systems;
• Knowledge of the principles of holographic recording and reconstruction (including computer simulation of holograms);
• Practical experience in the field of optical measurements, optical metrology, holography, including: recording, testing and use of holographic optical elements (HOE), development of optical systems with HOE,digital hologram calculations;
• Proven research experience;
• Strong problem solving skills;
• Good verbal and written communication skills;
• Self-motivated, creative, flexible, positive attitude individual with the initiative and drive for timely completion of goals;
• English – Intermediate Level.

Desirable skills:

• Knowledge of optical design principles, using CodeV, Zemax, Oslo, ASAP, TracePro, LightTools or other design tools to design and simulate optical systems;
• Object-oriented programming languages (C++);
• Math packages (MATLAB, Mathcad, Maple, Mathematica);
• Program tools for measurement and control applications (Labview);
• CAD programs.
