Task description:

• We are looking for experts who are strongly interested in research and developing of new video, 3D video and holographic compression technologies intended for advanced applications where the following topics are highly decent:
• New spatial & multidimensional transforms; new prediction schemes;
• New quantization, RDO approaches, new encoding schemes;
• New mathematical approaches for compact signal representation.
• We are happy to collaborate with creative talented and initiative researchers of all ages who want to work in SAIT Russia LAB.

Requirements:

• Education: M.S. (PH.D is preferable) in Technical or Physics & Mathematics Science;
• Main profile:
  
  • Experience in the field of 2D/3D video compression and/or video processing, image statistics, motion estimation, depth estimation;
  • Mathematical and numerical modeling, experiment-setting & analysis;
• Good understanding of at least one of the following:
  
  • Mathematical & practical grounds of compression theory;
  • Video & image standards MPEG4/AVC/HEVC/Jpeg/Jpeg2000;
  • Good knowledge of applied mathematics in connection with compression;
• Software packages:
  
  • Visual Studio, Matlab / Mathcad or similar S/W;
  • Source version control systems;
  • Office S/W ( Word, PowerPoint, Visio);
• Programming Languages:
  
  • C/C++;
  • Ability to work in team;
  • Foreign Language: English, at least technical level.
