Job Description:

CCS Software Engineering seeks to provide an environment where overachieving individuals perform together to deliver great customer focused software. Focusing on Commitment, Innovation, Quality and Urgency; CCS Engineers work together within an Agile product delivery framework to deliver market leading tools and systems. The Software Engineer will work under the direction of the Technical Team Leader, Principal Architects and Engineering Management to create new applications, augment feature sets of existing applications and provide engineering support for existing applications.  The candidate will apply his/her extensive experience with open source Java development frameworks to build highly scalable and efficient cloud based applications and services.  Working on a globablly distributed team, the candidate will excel in proper communication and documentation, ensuring team awareness of status and deliverables.

Required Skills/Experience:   

• MS in computer science or equivalent training and experience.
• Technical analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills
• Has a propensity to adapt to many different facets of software development quickly and efficiently
• Strong desire to learn new technologies and techniques
• Knowledge of web development techniques using HTML, CSS, and Javascript with and without JQuery Library
• Solid organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
• Ability to establish professional relationships with team members
• Superior written and verbal English communication skills
• Experience working on distributed engineering teams
• Experience implementing cloud based web applications (ideally on AZURE/EC2)
• Enterprise development practices/processes source control / JUNIT / bug tracking and communication with Operations, QA and Product  Management

• JDBC/SQL, JPA/Hibernate ORM
• Mahoot/Mallet (or similar) Machine Learning Algorithm Frameworks
• Axis2/CXF Web Service Definition
• WSDL / SOAP / REST Web  Service Formats
• Event Action Condition or other Workflow patterns
• Dynamic development language like Ruby or Groovy (Grails/Rails)
• XML Streaming API's
• MySQL or other RDBMS  NoSQL and MapReduce/HDFS
• Apache Tomcat
• SOLR/Lucene
