Currently we are looking for QA Engineer to join Tobii team
Eye tracking is a technique that measures exactly where a person is looking on a screen, and is about to revolutionize our world just like the mouse did 20 years ago. Tobii Technology (www.tobii.com) is leading this revolution. Tobii is a growing company that develops eye tracking products for researchers, people with disabilities, interaction designers and advertising agencies.
Tobii Assistive Technology (AT) is a division within Tobii that is focusing on products based on eye tracking for people with communication disabilities and/or physical handicaps. Their software opens up new possibilities for people to communicate either through verbal speech based on computer generated voice or via Internet-based technology.
Software Development within Tobii You will be working with Tobii’s Assistive Technology software team in modern offices centrally in Kiev. Our Kiev-based team work closely together with team members in Norway and Sweden. We develop feature-rich applications for people with severe motor and/or physical impairments, and we strive to give our users the best possible experience when operating the computer. Organized in agile project groups of typically 3-5 people, our team use the latest Microsoft technologies and have deep technical expertise.
The most important function of our products is to give people with communication abilities a voice through usage of an eye controlled computer.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide hands on technical testing and Quality Assurance capability within an agile teams.
- Take ownership and responsibility for all areas of testing.
- Design, plan, create and execute technical tests, both manual and automated and both functional and non-functional (performance, stress, installation, etc.).
- Develop, and maintain test specifications and test scripts.
- Identify test tools, test environments, test data, test harnesses needed to ensure successful testing of sprint deliverables.
- Manage defects ensuring they are correctly reported, tracked and retested in line with the test plan.
- Effectively escalate issues to appropriate personnel, particularly sprint or release test/quality related.
- Contribute towards the development and implementation of quality improvement plans of the test team processes and procedures.
- Take responsibility for self-development in the role to be able to be effective in the achievement of personal and departmental objectives.
Basic profile
- Graduate with Computer Science or equivalent degree. A couple of years experience.
- Intermediate or better knowledge of scripting (JavaScript, shell scripting, any test automation tool) and its application in a technical test environment.
- Experience from writing test documents such as test plan, test specification, test record and test report.
- Good knowledge in bug-reporting
- Experience from working tightly together with developers to resolve issues
- Experience with Windows based operating systems
- Experience from bug tracking systems (Jira or others)
- Fluency in English, written and spoken, is a must.
- An open and curious mind with an interest to understand who is the end customer of the product and how they will use the product
Experience from one or several of the following areas are qualifying :
- Experience from C# or other programming languages
- Experience from agile team working with Scrum
- Experience from Test Complete or equal test automation tool
- Experience from structured exploratory testing
