C++ DEVELOPER (Barclays)

  EPAM Systems (www.epam.com), one of the largest Software Engineering Services Companies in European IT market, CMMI Level 4 certified, is looking for a C++ Developer to work on the challenging projects for the major international investment bank in Kyiv, Ukraine.  

Main Duties:

• Expected to carry out all steps of the development lifecycle to deliver changes and new features, namely:
  
  • Analyzing the business requirements and making architectural decisions to build new components or incorporating them into existing systems
  • Designing, implementing and documenting the changes based on the business requirements
  • Unit / system / regression testing those requirements.
  • Evaluating the performance impact of the changes
  • Reviewing code produced by others
  • Working with the business representatives during the UAT stage
  • Supporting the implementation of each new code release
  • Working with testing team to ensure comprehensive coverage

Person Requirements:

• Qualifications: Computer Science degree or equivalent

  • Able to work in a global team operating in a dynamic environment.

 Experience:

• Commercial experience as a software developer.
• Development of large distributed software systems.

Technical skills:

• This role requires solid technical skills and aptitude.
• Detailed knowledge of advanced Windows OS concepts and debugging skills (Windbg).
• Expert understanding of C++ and its modern concepts, solid STL skills.
• Proven track record of multi-threaded programming and expert understanding
• of concepts behind it
• Relational databases (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server)
• Experience with server-side programming and client side programming on
• Windows systems.

Beneficial skills:

• The following skills are not essential, but may be of a benefit to successful candidate:
  
  • Automated unit tests or test-driven development experience
  • C# / .NET (Windows Forms and server-side, but not ASP.NET)
