 Project description:

Our customer is a market-leading directory in Switzerland for fast, targeted searches for companies, addresses, products, industries and brands. The database contains more than 700,000 companies operating in Switzerland. The website generates 750,000 unique visitors and 1,000,000 page views per month.

The website consists of two modules. Search engine optimized frontend allows browsing the directory, sign-up and managing your own profile, managing your own companies, viewing company details, contacting them via email and fax, viewing statistics of visiting your company pages. Backend contains functionality for managing users, managing companies data with possibility to review and accept changes, managing website content and preparing newsletters.

Technology stack:

PHP5, Zend Framework 1.11, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, XML, XHTML, JSON, Google Chart, Greenfax,  PL SQL, Apache 2, Oracle

Requirements:

• Profound knowledge of PHP, minimum 2 years work experience
• Experience with Magento or other PHP eCommerce platforms
  
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS, JavaScript and Ajax
  
• Good knowledge of at least one of the popular PHP web application frameworks (Zend, Symfony, CakePHP etc) and CMS (Joomla, Typo3, Drupal)
  
• Knowledge of relational databases, experience with at least one of Database Management Systems
  
• Understanding and practical implementation of OOP techniques
  
• Ability to analyze software requirements and efficiently work with project documentation
  
• Good written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of English (reading and writing technical documentation, communication with customers)

Preferred skills:

• Oracle RDBMS
• OS: Windows family, Linux
