Reports To: Commercial Director (Russia, Ukraine) Based in Kyiv
Position summary:
- Providing dedicated analytical support and consulting to the Company team and the client. Support includes running reports with Aspects software, analysing and interpreting data, additional research as needed, preparation of presentation decks and assisting in training as needed. The Business Analyst is responsible for learning the Aspects reporting tool, data, and applied methodology to the retailer shopper information in order to support the Commercial Director and the client on analytical projects.
- The Business Analyst is one of key roles in developing new business on the territory of Ukraine among new and existing clients. The role will work closely with Sales team, especially local Sales Representative. Main objective is to identify clients’ business needs and transform them into analytical insights by utilisation of Company services and tools. Acting as pre-sale resource this role is assisting in Business Development and increasing the scope of existing contracts by identifying new opportunities of implementing Company services. The role is a local analytical resource for Ad Hoc requests from existing clients where other (remote) analytical resources are unavailable or non-reasonable. Working closely with the Retailer, this role is capable to link CPGs’ efforts with Retailer’s business needs by understanding of Category behaviour and recommending proper development strategy.
- The Business Analyst will be a core member of the client facing analytics team for Company and will be heavily involved in client meetings to ensure that actionable insight is being generated and used to execute against agreed projects.
Essential functions:
- Develop a strong understanding of Company Aspects reporting tools and retailer business issues;
- Support all identified customer strategies as identified by client;
- Utilize analytical skills to assist the Commercial Director with ad hoc projects;
- Input, track and insure fulfilment of client project requests;
- Prepare insights & analytical summaries to address business questions/issues for clients;
- Assist in user training as needed;
- Devise analytical approaches that leverage Aspects capabilities to interpret and assemble data to develop actionable solutions, make recommendations and create action plans;
- Research and resolve data or technical issues for the retail client as needed;
- Review and insure analytical techniques are valid and relevant;
- Utilisation of all Company tools including SQL / Netezza should Aspects not be able to answer specific business questions;
- Work closely with the central analytics team in the UK to ensure appropriate resource is placed against all agreed client deliverables.
Additional duties:
- Maintain a log of work in progress and completed projects;
- Alert Company management to issues that may lead to improvement if work process and/or reporting;
- Respond with the appropriate level of urgency to client requests;
- Participate in development of Best Practices, training and reference materials;
- Contribute to quality control and validation of all reporting and troubleshooting data and software issues as needed;
- Actively participate in and assist with preparations for team and client meetings as requested.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Business or a Related Field would be preferred;
- At least three years of sales or marketing experience would be preferred.
Skills:
- Persuasive and clear oral and written communication skills;
- Ability to develop productive and professional client relationships;
- Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented work environment;
- Must be detail and quality oriented;
- Collaborate with others on a detailed level when preparing materials and presentation for clients;
- Technical knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Access knowledge would be preferred as well;
- SQL / Data mining skills.
