Job Description:

EcQuant Inc. is seeking a senior C++ Software Engineer with experience in GUI development to participate in the development of our cross-platform client application who can work remotely as an independent contractor from our representative office in Kiev, Ukraine with our R&D team in New York. The successful candidate will have experience in custom GUI development, strong coding skills, be a team player, fast learner, and have an innovator spirit. Key responsibilities include participating in the design of the product, interfacing with other functions in the company, development of the UI as well as the client/server communications and client based functionality.

Required experience and knowledge:  

• Solid fundamental computer science skills and strong programming skills in C/C++.
• Professional experience developing mobile applications with the Nokia QT and Open Source SDK’s.
• 5+ years Graphical User Interface (GUI) development experience.
• Experience in a cross-platform software development environment (Linux, Windows).
• Mobile Development for phones and tablets is a plus.
• XML, Rest, Web services, or other client server protocols.
• Experience with MVC design pattern.
• A Bachelor degree or higher in computer science or related field.
• Experience integrating 3rd party software.
• Excellent debugging, profiling, and optimization abilities.
• Written and spoken technical/business English
• Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interface with non-development functions like Product Management and etc.
• Business travel may be required.
