Job Description

EcQuant Inc. is seeking a senior Server Web Developer with experience in PHP, Python and related technologies to participate in the development of the products Web interface who can work remotely as an independent contractor from our representative office in Kiev, Ukraine with our R&D team in New York. The successful candidate will also have experience in other web technologies like HTML5, CSS, XML, and AJAX. Should be a team player, fast learner, and have an innovator spirit. Key responsibilities include design and development of the Web interface and the communication protocols with the rest of the components in the server and the client side, working with Product Management to translate market requirements into technical implementations, and integrating 3rd party technologies into the product.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science.
• Object-oriented programming skills.
• 5+ years’ experience PHP development and/or similar technologies.
• Experience with Open Source SDK’s.
• Experience integrating 3rd party software.
• Experience in a cross-browser development environment (IE, Firefox, etc.).
• Excellent debugging skills.
• Written and spoken technical/business English
• Ability to interface with non-development functions like Product Management, etc.
• Business travel may be required.
