Job Responsibilities:

• Manage servers in a hands-on fashion working as a Windows 2000/2003/2008
• Hardware experience including HP servers, SANs, Cisco switch hardware
• Provide system service problem resolution for issues that may arise
• Help design new technical solutions and then implement those solutions
• Manage and update Anti Virus, software distribution, backup and patch management tools on servers and workstations
• Work effectively with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, identify/resolve technical issues, and guarantee that we have timely security information that will help protect all systems
• Must be willing to work on-call shifts and some week-end work will be required

Minimum Requirements:

• Be able to install and configure quickly all versions of Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and 7, and must have significant knowledge on the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Microsoft's server operating systems.
• Monitor and maintain systems' security.
• Diagnose and resolve problems quickly with all versions of Microsoft's operating systems., and must have significant knowledge on the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Microsoft's server operating systems.
• Diagnose and Resolve problems quickly with all versions of Microsoft's operating systems, including Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and 7, in addition to Server 2008, 2003, and 2000.
• Be adept at configuring and managing Active Directory, Group Policies
• Must be skilled at configuring and maintaining various software programs, including but not limited to Exchange Server , MS SQL Server, data backup applications, anti-virus solutions, Microsoft Virtual Server, VMware vCenter Server.
• Must be able to diagnose and resolve problems with PC hardware.
• Ethernet networking, both switched and non-switched, as well as switch configuration including VLANs, etc.
• Diagnosing and resolving networking problems using industry standard tool and procedures.
• Candidate should have experience with configuration of smart devices
• 3-5 years of hands --on experience working with PC, LAN, Windows and applications, as well as with the server maintenance, troubleshooting, and recover, and on LAN configuration, maintenance and diagnostics.
• Computer and networking security concepts and practices
• TCP/IP protocols, and a thorough understanding of OSI layers 1, 2, 3, and 4.
• Candidate must know how to verify network cable integrity utilizing commonly available network testing hardware.
• Many of the internet protocols. This included but is not limited to HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, DNS, POP3, PPTP, IMAP, LDAP, SSL, etc. 

Preferred: 
(in addition to the above Minimum requirements)

• 4 years of multiple operating systems administration experience (two or more of the following):
• Windows Server: Enterprise AD infrastructure, incl. Exchange
• Unix, Linux, AIX, Mac OSX
• Apache, MySQL, PHP, Perl, Python
• Networking Experience
• Installation and troubleshooting of network devices
• Cisco routers and switches
• Wireless technologies
• Security, client firewalls, etc.
• Certifications, Licenses and or Registrations
• Web design experience
