JavaSE TCK team is looking for a skilled, thorough, highly motivated and responsible Software Engineer. Our team is responsible for development and maintenance of Technology Compatibility Kits (TCKs) – commercial software products intended for testing if implementations of JavaSE conform the Platform Specification.

We are looking for an engineer who will be able to write high quality software code that tests assertions from JavaSE specifications. Another important focus for this position is taking part in the review of specification documents to ensure their high quality from conformance prospective. And finally, an engineer on this position will have to maintain existing code: first of all it is analyzing incoming challenges of conformance tests and test failures in various software/hardware configurations.

Required skills and knowledge:

• Strong technical background
• MS in Computing Science
• 5+ years experience in developing software (work in software development projects)
• Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Paradigm
• Excellent knowledge of Java
• Knowledge of HTML and XML
• Extensive troubleshooting experience
• Intermediate and above English
• Experience in working with source code control systems
• Ability to work in team

Preferred skills and knowledge:

• Knowledge of UNIX shell scripting languages
• Experience in test development and test automation
• Experience in working in multilingual distributed teams
• Good communication skills (including those in English)
• Experience in working on multiple software architectures (Windows/Linux/Solaris/MacOS)
