Our candidate will be responsible for providing advanced technical support for computer telephony software products. 
The position requires a high degree of technical skill, the ability to solve challenging technical issues and handle multiple high priority tasks in a fast moving environment with a demanding work schedule.
 Working closely with Software Engineering team, the Tier 3 Support team is responsible for delivering high quality, advanced technical support for shipping products, and providing input to Engineering for future products.
 
Responsibilities
  • Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems
    • Analyze software configuration problems and defects
    • Interface with other departments, including Engineering and Product Management, to address customers' issues in the most effective manner
    • Participate in the process of product improvement by providing feedback on the product quality and reviewing Technical Documentation
    • Write advanced troubleshooting guides and develop and administer technical TOIs to train other Technical Support groups and customers
    • On-site troubleshooting when required
    • Follow Support methodology and required standards
 
Qualifications
  • The right individual must possess good communication and organizational skills, be independent, self-motivated, disciplined and detail-oriented, with strong decision-making abilities, and be able to learn quickly as well as adapt and respond to new situation and requirements.
  • A degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related technical fields or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in at least two of the following areas: 
    • RDBMS (MS SQL, Oracle, DB2)
    • Software Development (C++, Java, XML)
    • TCP/IPNetworking
    • Telephony: ISDN, CAS, T1/E1, Dialogic
    • Operating systems: Unix (Solaris, AIX, HPUX, Linux), Windows OS, VMWare

Well developed communication skills: 

  • Demonstrate good listening skills and the ability to accept input from others
  • Communicate well with different levels of the organization
  • Effectively communicate progress, status and problems in a timely manner
  • Communicate technical information effectively both verbally and in written form  in a manner that is clear, concise, grammatically correct, organized, well thought out/planned, professionally
