We are looking for experienced Java OSGi Engineer to join our team.

You will be responsible for implementing Java-based OSGi infrastructure and applications for the innovative home entertainment system. 

Requirements

• 3+ years of Java development experience: Java SE or Java EE
• Advanced Linux user with a certain experience with *nix development tools
• Experience with REST API or SOAP web services implementation
• Preferable - experience with OSGi frameworks: Equinox, Felix, Knopflerfish
• Preferable - experience with Java ME or Java CDC
• At least Intermediate level of English

• MS/BS degree in Computing Sciences or equivalent is preferred.
• Credit will be given for candidates who do not have relevant degrees but can demonstrate equivalent work experience. 

• In the course of the fulfillment of his obligations, the Java Engineer must comply with corporate ethics and policies (e.g. accountability for all property entrusted by Cogniance).
• The Java Engineer shall also bear non property responsibility for his obligations to be performed in due time and quality. 

• In addition to the rights assigned to a person in accordance with legislation in force, the Java Engineer will have access to Cogniance confidential information according to company security policy and respective documents 

• The position is located in Cogniance development office in Kyiv, Ukraine.
• Successful candidates will be engaged in core development activities closely cooperating in a team with software architects, designers and engineers.
• The Java Engineer will report to Engineering Manager.
