About the company:

Our client is UK company selling road bicycles and bike equipment to consumers worldwide.  Primary markets are Australia, US, Canada and UK.  Company has 12 identical Magento stores for currencies and plans to add multiple languages at store view level. 

About the project:

We are looking for a candidate with the ability to work on both quick-turnaround problem-solving issues, and longer term projects, with a focus on driving conversion and improving customer experience.  The role of the developer will be to solve problem, implement fixes, assist with solution design, write and edit modules and assist with more complex template editing.  Opportunity for the candidate is to assist with an upgrade from Magento EE1.8 to 1.12 as well as to play a key role in the development on the site ongoing. 

Requirements:

• Magento Enterprise experience – either 3 demonstrable enterprise projects or 2 years’ experience implementing and problem-solving Magento Enterprise
• Ecommerce – a solid understanding of the ecommerce market and the impact of development on commercial metrics (conversion, average order value, traffic, bounce rates)
• PHP – Expert in Object Orientated PHP
• CSS – Experience editing Magento templates using CSS
• Site Speed – understanding of impact of code on hardware performance / site speed
• Professional approach to coding – e.g. No use of inline code / all code well documented
• English Language – good speaking and writing level
• SVN – full understanding / experience of deploying code via SVN

Preferred Requirements:

• Magento Developer Certification
• Zend PHP Certification
• Web Services integration experience
