We are looking for a Sales Engineering to work for our client, Sigma Designs to support their successful products in the CIS Region. The Sales Engineering will be based at the Ciklum office in Moscow and work very closely with the Sigma field sales team as well as the technical team based in Paris.

Description of duties and responsibilities:

• Responsible engineer that will provide engineering support to Sigma Designs customers in their application and driver development.
• Responsible to qualify and debug bugs from customer in order to coordinate fixes and deliveries with Sigma Designs engineering department.
• Attending customers' meetings and conference calls, communicating with customers through email on a daily basis.
• In charge of presenting technically Sigma Designs products to customers during pre-sales meetings (along with Sigma Designs sales representative)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (French and/or English)
• Availability to travel (Europe & North America) is required.

Key objectives:

• Support pre-sales customers and help them to understand the functionality of Sigma Designs products.
• On site or remote support for customers during their product development.
• Solution seeker. When a problem cannot be solved by its own technical capabilities, the integration engineer will isolate the issue and interact directly with the software engineer responsible for finding a solution.

In Depth Knowledge:

• Linux Operating System: Application and kernel module development.
• C/C++ expertise as well as understanding of compilers and makefiles.
• Broad knowledge of MPEG video, audio and system standards.
• Broad knowledge of embedded systems and related development environments.

Experience:

• Knowledge of video industry (IPTV, STB, …) and standards (MPEG, DVB, NTSC, PAL, DTV and HDTV).
• Programming in C/C++ for a minimum of 2 years.
• Linux application and kernel module development for a minimum of 2 years.
• Development for Embedded systems for a minimum of 2 years.
• Customer support experience.

Education:

BS/MS in Computer Science or related fields.
