Type of role

  • Serves as coordinator resource with overall responsibility for SharePoint Environment functionality for JnJ.
  • Manages support and further design, development and deployment of SharePoint solution and components for enterprise Portal and collaboration solutions (done both with internal and external resources).
  • Works effectively as part of a team.

Tasks:

Generally responsible for Solution support:

  • Coordinates (plans, organizes, monitors and controls) all Incident management activities and staff, responsible for Incident management on different levels of support;
  • Participates in resolution of extremely complex incidents;
  • Efficiently solves issues and conflicts within team, with external teams and/or business which arise during Incident management process;
  • Prepares and presents to business partners, on regular basis, Incident management process performance reports;
  • Drives documentation activities. Follows, that documentation is done according to corporate standard, templates and/or using Incident management process supporting tools;
  • Ensures that Incident management process is within agreed SLAs.

Manages development and implementation of Solution changes:

  • Coordinates (plans, organizes, monitors and controls) all Change management activities and staff, responsible for Change management;
  • Designs technical architecture and structure of Solution, and ensures that changes align to this architecture;
  • Participates in design and development of complex changes;
  • Efficiently solves issues and conflicts within team, with external teams and/or business which arise during Change management process;
  • Holds Change Control Board (CCB);
  • Prepares and presents to business partners, on regular basis Change management process performance reports;
  • Drives documentation activities. Follows, that documentation is done according to corporate standard, templates and/or using Change management process supporting tools;
  • Ensures that Change management process is within agreed SLAs.

Drives continuous improvement of service:

  • Applies functional knowledge, technical expertise and good practices to identify and raise possibilities which will optimize application and business-process, minimize maintenance and support requirements and increase delivered business value;
  • Continuously develops team (defines knowledge gaps, plans additional education, provides knowledge transfer).

Technical infrastructure support:

  • Participates in capacity planning activities;
  • Participates in application of service continuity procedures: back-up, DRP testing etc.


Decision Making

  • Negotiates and leverages the needs of multiple users.
  • While designing and implementing technical solution Balances between I/T standards and strategies and business needs to guide well-informed decisions.
  • Applies compliance requirements within scope of responsibility, provides documentation as necessary, and participates in compliance activities as required.

Technical Expertise

  • Excellent proficiency in SharePoint platform.
  • Solid understanding of Information Systems Integration mechanisms.
  • Confident knowledge of Windows Workflow Foundation.
  • Solid skills in Web Development Technologies – .NET development (C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net) and .NET Framework (C#.Net, ASP.Net), HTML, CSS, XSL, XSLT, JavaScript.
  • Well acquainted with MS SQL DB, MS SQL Integration Services.
  •  Business Knowledge
  • Good understanding of existing business-processes and workflows, and the ability to factor them into technical direction and recommendations;
  • Sturdy adept of ITIL, ITSM and other IT management practices.
Supervision Received/Provided
  • Manages and provides leadership, mentorship, or guidance to SharePoint Service Experts;
  • May manage vendors necessary to complete a project.
