Project Description:

PPS Shelf Manager – development of intelligent management  devices for AdvancedTCA and MicroTCA systems

Responsibilities:

• Software development for intelligent management controllers running under the control of Linux and MicroLinux OS (C, C++, Python, Linux shell scripts); Primarily involves kernel software development – developing new and enhancing existing device drivers for ARM- and MIPS-based System-On-Chip controllers, interfacing with the U-Boot.

Experience:

• Kernel programming for Linux in C/C++
• System programming for Linux in C/C++
• Participation in projects involving development of embedded microcontroller-based solutions is a plus
• Experience with the TCP/IP network stack
• English: Upper-Intermediate (oral and writen)

Technical Skills:

• Programming languages: C, C++, Python
• OS: Linux (at system  and kernel programmer level)
• Knowledge of embedded microcontroller-based systems
• Management interfaces: I2C, IPMI/IPMB, SPI
• Network protocols: TCP/IP, DHCP, UDP, RMCP
