HP Russia announces an exciting opportunity for Infrastructure Support Engineer

Job Description:

• Performing visual healthcheck of data center and monitoring room at the beginning of shift: checking if the air condition is working, light is in place, no water leaks from any water installation, all the monitoring stations are working properly, there is no garbage in the Data center or monitoring room like empty boxes, obsolete hardware, unnecessary paper, obsolete cables
• Performing system healthcheck according to the procedures
• Reporting the results of system healthcheck on the Web page
• Performing tasks from Application and Infrastructure checklists on time
• Controlling people coming into data center and assuring that all the visitors sign the visitor log.
• Monitoring systems
• Reacting properly on alarms coming from the monitoring stations: acknowledging  all alarms on OVO station, creating tickets in Service Center, escalate, repair
• Picking up phones in the monitoring room
• Escalating all incidents according to the escalation procedure
• Assuring that during production time at least 1 person is present in the monitoring room.
• Turning off the lights, closing and locking the door to the monitoring room, checking if the storage room in locked.
• Storing the checklists in the binders at the end of the week.
• Checking the backup execution
• Transporting tapes to the offsite storage (P-1 gate).
• Work on Service Centers tickets opened by the users.
• Change Management process following.
• Follow 5S rules all the time.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience
• At least 3 years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree
• MCSA, W2k8 or W2k3 certified
• UNIX Systems administration knowledge (experience)
• Good customer facing skills
• Working experience for international companies
• Ability to work on real time production and day and night shifts support
• Ability to work for on call (24/7 support, two weeks per month at least)
• At least intermediate level of English.
