The AES Corporation is a leading independent power company. AES owns and operates two Oblenergoes AES KyivOblenergo (KOE) and AES RivneOblenergo (RE) in Ukraine. The Company is looking for a Deputy Head of Business System Department to build and manage SAP systems in Ukraine.

Summary:

• Deputy Head of Business System Department is needed to define and manage SAP basis administration activities such as system administration, change request/transport management, support packages management, BC Sets activation, performance management, monitoring, client/instance administration, database administration, backup/restore and disaster-recovery. Building and managing the SAP Systems Landscape for following SAP systems: R/3+IS-U 4.7, BW - SAP Netweaver 7.0, Enterprise Portals - SAP Netweaver 7.0, Solution Manager - Netweaver 7.0, GRC Tools - Virsa + Access Enforcer, for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 and Oracle 11g platform.
• Documentation will be required to document strategies and procedures for administration and day-today operations. Candidate must have demonstrated experience in SAP basis and DB administration.                      

Job Responsibilities:  

• defining and manage the systems landscape in accordance with AES standards and policies;
• defining the system administration procedures in accordance with AES standards and policies;
• defining systems day-today operational manuals in accordance with AES standards and policies;
• build and maintain SAP systems landscape;
• defining and implement the systems upgrade strategy;
• plan and upgrade SAP R/3+IS-U 4.7 to ECC 6 version;
• managing jobs and tasks;
• managing change requests and transports;
• managing support packages / patches / hot packs;
• reviewing, analyzing and testing OSS notes patches prior to transferring into production;
• defining user support strategy;
• providing technical support/helpdesk;
• monitoring system performance;
• managing BC Sets;
• managing database;
• defining backup/restore and disaster recovery procedure;
• communicating and providing knowledge transfer and support to other team members;

Qualifications:              

• university degree;
• a candidate should be a mature individual who can handle competing priorities and be a strong team player;
• 4+ yrs of SAP landscape building and basis administration for Linux/Oracle platform;
• strong knowledge in administration strategies, SAP administration and monitoring environments;
• 6+ yrs extensive knowledge of IT system support procedures and documentation, Oracle database administration;
• fluent written and spoken English;
