Job Summary:

• Research-and-development activities with respect to the digital contents analysis and management
• Designing and developing the content analysis and / or management software for embedded devices such as DTVs, IPTVs, cellular phones, BD players, set-top boxes, and cameras

Requirements:

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND:

• Master of Science (MS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

• Proven research-and-development skills are required in image / video analysis, computer vision, pattern recognition, and / or metadata management:
  
  • Gesture recognition:
    
    • Knowledge of object detection / recognition / tracking, 3D motion analysis, computer vision, image / video analysis, scene analysis, machine learning, and pattern recognition
  • Application software in embedded systems of consumer-electronics devices (such as the mobile phone, TV, and some others):
    
    • Knowledge of embedded software optimization (especially, in video processing)
    • Practical knowledge of DirectShow and / or ffmpeg
    • Implementation experience in code optimization for video processing in embedded systems
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and C
  • Hands-on knowledge of system programming (Windows, Windows Mobile, and / or Linux)
    

WORKSITE LOCATION:

• Suwon, South Korea (relocation package available)

• Fluency in English

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Designing and developing video-based, audio-based, and / or multi-modal-based content analysis and management
• Designing and developing the gesture recognition engine and system for an easy human interaction in consumer-electronics devices
• Implementing and optimizing system / application software for mobile devices and home multimedia systems for an image / video analysis
• IPR development and standardization
