Job Summary: Build System Infrastructure and Optimization: *Build Automation and Support Development for Various Platforms and Products

Requirements:

• BASIC REQUIREMENTS
• ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
  
  • Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) / Master of Science (MS) Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering, or a similar technical degree
• PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
  
  • Experience in the Build System and Open Build Service
  • Specific experience in OBS and proficiency in RPM
  • 5+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years of OBS experience
  • High proficiency in OBS with an emphasis on the Debian and RPM packaging system
  • Excellent coding skills in C/C++, Ruby, Python, Perl, and functional languages with an emphasis on the low-level hardware interaction
• Additionally Required Skills and Experience:
  
  • Experience in OBS maintenance as a build / release engineer
  • Development experience in mobile platforms
  • Programming abilities in Ruby, Python and Perl
  • Ability to occasionally travel internationally
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership-driven, and managerial skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Developing world-class software for Samsung Mobile Phones
• Architecting OBS build systems and configure projects and packages to support various products
• Maintaining OBS build systems and related build infrastructure
• Working with internal and external teams to provide build services and propose solutions to challenging engineering problems
• Working with partners to discuss software design options and resolve integration issues
• Contributing to the organization’s strong drive to be at the cutting edge of the build system technology
• Improving Samsung’s Tizen Operating System
