ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

  • Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Master of Science (MS) Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Mandatory Knowledge
    • Demodulation algorithms in the physical layer (such as synchronization, equalization, and forward error correction)
    • Common broadcasting standards (such as DVB-T/T2, ATSC, DVB-S/S2, DVB-C/C2, and DTMB)
    • Computer architecture and DSP principles
    • Development environments (such as Linux, UNIX, Sun workstation)
    • Software development cycle
  • Recommended Knowledge
    • Software engineering tools for version control and test automation
    • Software development methodology (such as Extreme Programming (XP), Scrum, and Agile)
    • Compiler technology
    • Generic VLSI development procedure
  • Mandatory Skills
    • C and C++ with object-oriented programming concept
    • Proficiency in, at least, one DSP assembly language
    • HDLs (such as Verilog and VHDL)
    • Xilinx FPGA validation
  • Recommended Skills
    • SystemC / SystemVerilog
