Job Summary:Mobile Threat Research and Analysis: Threat and Vulnerability Identification, Analysis, and Remediation

Requirements:

• BASIC REQUIREMENTS
• ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
  
  • Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) / Master of Science (MS) Degree in Cryptography, Computer Science, Information Security, Network Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a similar technical degree
• PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
  
  • Specific experience in mobile, computer, and / or network security research and incident response, as well as proficiency in Android and / or Linux OS security:
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in security research
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in software development on the mobile platform
• Additionally Required Skills and Experience:
  
  • Proficient in Java with an emphasis on object-oriented design
  • Excellent coding skills in C/C++ with an emphasis on the low-level hardware interaction
  • X86 or ARM coding experience
  • Experience in Linux and / or mobile platform security research
  • Development experience in one or more mobile platforms
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership-driven, and managerial skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally

Responsibilities and Duties:

• BASIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  
  • Improving Samsung's unique mobile security solutions
  • Threat and vulnerability information gathering, reverse engineering, replication, attack surface analysis and modeling, static and dynamic analysis, penetration testing, analysis tool development, and overall risk assessment
  • Locating and analyzing mobile threats and vulnerabilities
  • Performing attack surface analysis and risk assessment, including penetration tests
  • Developing security requirements for future devices
  • Working with internal and external teams for product security enhancement and security engineering
  • Working with partners to develop and implement security solutions and resolve issues
  • Contributing to the organization’s strong drive to be at the cutting edge of mobile security
