EPAM Systems, one of the largest Software Engineering Services Companies in European IT market, CMMI Level 4 certified, is looking for Senior software developer for its Kyiv Office.

Project description

BEM stands Barclays Enterprise Middleware, which is infrastructure team responsible for gluing together thousands of bank’s systems.

The typical functionality implemented by middleware is:

• Route messages (based on content or static configuration)
• Transform messages to various formats
• Switch transport protocols (i.e. asynchronous message into web-service call)
• Perform message aggregation/decomposing/enrichment/etc
• Interact with external repositories
• Respond to events or errors
• Invoke/implement rest/web services
• Validate message content or conduct various checks
• Encrypt/decrypt/sign messages and/or their parts

Requirements:

• Oracle/SQL knowledge
• 3+ years of application development
• Good knowledge on enterprise systems for clustering, High Availability and resilience
• Use case or other modeling methodologies
• Strong in enterprise knowledge for middleware systems
• Knowledge of WTX would be desired
• Working knowledge of database and equivalent RDBMS systems with performance monitoring
• Operating System: Windows/UNIX/AIX
• Intermediate English is a must

Responsibilities:

• Ensure application build and configuration as per design and requirements specified
• Adaptation of the service to meet the changing needs of the business and service versioning
• Provide the necessary design and guidance (by taking ownership) to lead programs
• Carry out key feature and performance improvements to existing and new application build in the middleware framework and base
• Work across cross-functional lead programs to comply to consistent middleware execution design
• Identification of and implementation of continual improvements to the service
• Peer review of Application code and document deliverables
