Itera Consulting Ukraine, a leading provider of innovative digital solutions, is looking for the talented and highly motivated Service Operations Engineer for the big distributed project for Scandinavian customer to be responsible for maintenance, support and problem solution of large amount of batch jobs on regular basis. Operations Specialist will be part of distributed project with people both in Ukraine and in other countries.

Client is a large company which underwrites Nordic corporations globally by means of a highly professional service organization. It provides a broad range of insurance products such as Property Insurance, Casualty Insurance, Marine Insurance etc.

This is complex project and the qualified candidate will need to be a fast learner that can quickly grasp technical aspects of the specified industry. Business trips to Norway (Oslo) will take place.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Perform analysis of nightly batch jobs logs
• Fix the failures according to the project priorities
• Automating failure fix workflow procedures
• Assisting Client personnel in configuration and troubleshooting of Production environment
• Problem resolution and workarounds

Professional requirements:

• At least 2 year experience within service operations/programming
• Strong knowledge and experience with MS SQL
• Knowledge of Windows scripts and administration
• Good knowledge of common packages - logs & monitoring, web-servers, load balancers etc.
• Broad technical expertise and basic technical understanding
• Offshoring projects experience
• Experience of work in distributed environment
• Experience of direct communication with client

Will be a plus:

• Experience in configuration and maintenance enterprise IT systems
• Experience with Shell scripting
• Knowledge of network utilities
