Role

• Work under the guidance of our architect and be part of the architecture efforts to provide input
• Design and implement scrum user stories in line with high-level architecture
• Coach and mentor developers on following the architecture and design and resolving technical issues as well as provide code review for his peers.
• Help us maintain and further develop the Commercial Lines product.
• Ensure that high quality code is being developed, best practices and standards are enforced and the appropriate tools are used
• Advise on innovation opportunities and improvements in the teams function
• Required
• Expert in building web applications using .NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC
• Proficient in AJAX/JavaScript, JSON, j HTML, CSS, XML, XSL
• Experience in using  one of  the JavaScript templating libraries such as – preferably - knocjout.js, jQuery views, backbone.js
• Proficiency in Data Access / SQL Server in web application
• Agile/scrum environment including TDD/BDD/unit testing and continuous integration
• Experience in building and consuming .NET WCF services
• Liaising with a UX designer to integrate UI designs
• Object Orientated Analysis & Design
• Web Security approaches (OWASP top ten etc.)

Desirable

• Experience of developing for Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience in asynchronous messaging APIs and Publish-and-Subsrcibe architectures using any of the following technologies such as NServiceBus, RabbitMQ/AMQ, Azure AppFabric Service Bus, Windows Server AppFabric
• SOA architectures, SOAP & REST services 
• XSLT transformations
• HTML5 (offline storage, web sockets)
• ODATA & Micro formats
